The federal government has named the major rail station located within the Agbor axis on the Itakpe-Warri rail line after former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Minister of transport Rotimi Amaechi made this remark while addressing newsman during an inspection tour of the newly completed rail stations.
While insisting on the observance of covid-19 safety protocols, Amaechi said that only fifty percent of passengers will henceforth be allowed on the trains per trip
The transport minister says keeping to timelines is no longer feasible, rather the federal government and partners will work according to realities of the moment in completing projects across the country.
With the completion of works on the train stations along the 320 kilometer standard gauge rail line, linking Kogi, Edo and Delta States, Amaechi says Itakpe Warri rail project is now set for commissioning.
