The Federal Government has said it will develop a road map and set targets on adaptation of cleaner energy in the aviation industry.
This is coming from the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo at the 2nd Consultative Stakeholders Engagement on the development and deployment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Low Carbon Aviation Fuel (LCAF), and other fuel’s cleaners.
Also addressing the gathering, the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Chris Najomo explained that there are collaborative efforts underway to identify feedstocks necessary for SAF production.

Key players at the event canvassed continuous awareness on the benefits of tackling climate change challenges in the sector, to fast-track development in strengthening the nation’s economy.
The annual event is aimed at advancing discussions in deepening stronger partnerships with key players not only to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to cleaner energy sources, but also to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and build a resilient energy sector in the country.
