The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has ordered the Nigerian Postal Services NIPOST to suspend the new tariff on registration of courier services in the country.
Reacting to complaints by Nigerians on the new hike, On his Twitter handle @pantami reiterated that the position of the Federal Government on the increment was not in line with the earlier approved regulation.
He noted that the power to regulate NIPOST lies with the Minister as any change in fees must be approved by him.
While acknowleding the economic challenges of NIPOST the minister says the timing for the increament is wrong and should be suspended immeditely.
