The Nigerian government through the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, NALDA, has presented livestock to 300 rehabilitated drug addicts in Kano.
The presentation of the cattle and goats to 300 men and women at the Central Abattoir, Kofar mazugal in Kano, is part of ongoing efforts to eradicate drug abuse among young people across Nigeria.
As drug abuse continues to bite harder in Nigeria, the National Agriculture Land Development Authority, NALDA, working with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, rehabilitated 300 drug addicts in Kano and promptly provided them
with livestock to enable them do something meaningful with their lives.
Addressing the rehabilitated drug addicts during the presentation ceremony in Kano, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of NALDA, Paul Ikonne, said government values the lives of its citizens hence it would continue to do everything possible to discourage people, especially young ones, from drug and substance abuse.
