The Nigerian government has expressed readiness to enter into a partnership with a U.S. based company and other interested parties to ensure a turnaround in the country’s energy sector.
Minister of Innovation, Science and technology, Uche Nnaji who received a delegation from a U.S. based company for talks on a possible investment in the sector, described Nigeria as a country rich in natural resources especially in solid minerals which need to optimally exploited.
The visiting team appealed to the Nigerian government to review its policies on renewable energy to create a favourable environment for projects to thrive.

The meeting with the prospective investors is part of efforts by the Nigerian government to boost local capacity for the production of globally competitive renewable energy products and services.
