The Federal Government is setting up modalities to commission additional two Integrated Farm Estates in South-East Nigeria to create jobs through agriculture and encourage Nigerians to produce “what we eat and eat what we produce”.
The farm estates to be established by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority will be located in Ariam Elu Elu in Ikwuano Local Government area of Abia state and Acharaubo Emekuku Integrated Farm Estate in Owerri North, Local Government Area of Imo State.
The 100 hectares in Ariam Elu Elu Farm Estate donated by the community has 50 ponds with a capacity of 150,000 fingerlings and 3,000 fishes, three solar powered industrial boreholes, two kilometres of road with drainage, solar powered street lights, office block and residence area.

The project would benefit about 400 women and youth of the community who are already trained and prepared to eventually run the farm for their economic benefits.
Also ready for commissioning is the reactivated 35 hectares Acharaubo Emekuku Integrated Farm Estate in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, which was abandoned for over 30 years.
