The Federal Government has restated its commitment to ensuring strict implementation of the N70,000 new minimum wage.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, gave the assurance at the State House, Abuja after he met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He told state house correspondents after briefing the President that power will soon be restored in parts of the country currently experiencing disruptions as President Tinubu has guaranteed security for workers of the transmission company of Nigeria.

The Minister added that he will be meeting with the regulator, NERC, and  Distribution companies to ensure that customers are not billed for services not rendered during the Blackout period

Adelabu also hinted at plans to decentralize the national Grid as a way of tackling the recurring problem of system collapse for better and improved service delivery.
