FG restates commitment to security of lives and Property

The Federal Government has again, restated its commitment towards securing and handing over a peaceful country to the next administration.

Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo who gave the charge in Katsina stated that the intention is reflected in the restructuring of the security architecture and the declaration of bandits as terrorists by the government

Vice President Osinbajo had paid a condolence visit to the people and government of Katsina over the death of the former Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr Rabe Nasir.

According to Vice President Osinbajo, President Muhammadu Buhari is everything possible, to ensure that the country is safe and handed over to the next administration as one, united and indivisible country.

While soliciting cooperation and support from Nigeriansbto execute government’s programmes, the vice president promised that the Buhari-led administration will continue to work in the interest of Nigerians.

The Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Usman, expressed joy at the bold step taken by the Federal Government by declaring bandits as terrorists.

He advised the government to desist from dialogue with the terrorists, who took up arms against the state, perpetrating evil in the land, saying both Christianity and Islam forbid criminalism.

The Emir, while promising that his domain will cooperate with the Federal Government, to ensure a peaceful co-existence among the people called on religious leaders to use pulpits judiciously during sermons and drive home the fear of God among Nigerians.
