As the Federal Government runs against time to announce an acceptable new national minimum wage, Imo state governor, Hope Uzidinma has told the media that government is hopeful that organised labour will accept the yet to be disclosed new minimum wage proposal.
Uzodinma spoke briefly after hours of the technical committee meeting of the federal government team, which had in attendance the minister of finance, wale Edu, SGF George Akume, Head of service of the federation Folasade Yemi-Esan among others

At the moment, the tripartite committee is meeting to harmonise the positions of the government team, organised private sector, and organised labour.
