The Federal Government of Nigeria, through Ministry of Labour and Employment says it has concluded arrangements to establish a Labour Market Information System.
This was announced at a stakeholders meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, to strategize on the implementation framework, where Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige represented by permanent secretary in the Ministry, Kachollom Daju, Said the platform hopes to bridge the gap between graduates and industry needs
Some implementing ministries, Departments and agencies say the initiative is a one-stop-shop for job search, vacancies, casualisation among other information about Labour.
The three day workshop is expected to harnesse observation, suggestions and recommendations for a more effective Labour market information system by the Nigerian Government.
