Schools in Nigeria’s federal capital territory must stand out in comparison with state schools.
This was the challenge to the FCT Mandate secretary on Education, Danlami Hayyo, by the executive secretary of the National senior secondary education commission, Iyela Ajayi
Ajayi told the Mandate secretary that the FCT has no choice but to fix inadequate infrastructure, recruit qualified and licensed teachers, pay salaries promptly, increase drive to enrol more out-of-school children, and strive to maintain quality control and standard.

The National Senior Secondary Education Commission also pledged renewed commitment to partner with the FCT Administration to strengthen senior secondary education in the territory.
