The Federal Government is finally set to inaugurate 37-member Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage to be chaired by former Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Bukar Goni Aji with mandate to recommend new National Minimum Wage.
Membership of the Committee includes six Federal Government officials; one Governor from each geo-political zone; Joe Ajaero and Festus Osifo leading six NLC and TUC officials each; 12 representatives of Organised Private Sector with three each from NECA, MAN, NACCIMA and NASME

FG SETS TO INAUGURATE TRIPARTITE COMMITTEE ON NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE
The Federal Government is set to inaugurate a 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage with a mandate to recommend a new National Minimum Wage for the Country.
The planned inauguration of the Committee is sequel to the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The inauguration is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 30th January, 2024 by 12:00 noon at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja.
The Committee under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji, former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation which cut across Federal Government, State Government, Private Sector and the Organised Labour are as follows:
From the Federal Government, the members include Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, Hon. Minister of State, Labour and Employment (Representing Hon. Minister of Labour and Employment); Mr. Wale Edun, Hon. Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Hon. Minister of Budget Economic Planning; Dr. (Mrs) Yemi Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri, Permanent Secretary, GSO. OSGF and Ekpo Nta, Esq, Chairman/CEO, NSIWC – Member/Secretary.
