The Statistician-General of the Federation, Yemi Kale, has given assurance that a hybrid digitalized form of data collection for Covid 19 impact establishment survey would soon be launched in Nigeria.
Kale, disclosed this during the 2021 first Bi-annual meeting of the National Consultative Committee on Statistics, holding in Jos Plateau with Statisticians General of the 36 States in attendance.
In his keynote address, Statistician-General of the federation Yemi Kale said improving on the quality of statistics is key especially under the Covid-19.
Declaring the Conference open, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, represented by the commissioner, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Sylvester Wallanko noted that planning and policy formulation can only be effective when statistics is promoted.
This year’s meeting with the theme statistical production under the Covid 19 pandemic and economic in Nigeria is expected to come up with feasible ways and means of improving the delivery of good statistical information in the country.
