The Federal Government has put plans in place to grow the culture and creative sector Gross Domestic Product Contribution to the economy by One hundred Billion United States Dollars by 2030.
The reform is expected to generate three million jobs, according to officials of the Minisrty of Arts, Culture Tourism and Creative Economy at a presentation to the Nigeria Governors Forum in Abuja.
Key initiatives include the two hundred million Dollars Creative Economy Development Fund and the One billion Dollar Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation.
Other projects are the Lagos Arena, Abuja Creative City and Renewed Hope Cultural Villages.
According to a communique at the close of the meeting by its Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Nigerian Governors commended the reforms to strengthen intellectual property, expand Tourism and elevate Nigeria’s global presence.
