FIFA sets date for 2022 World Cup

World Football Governing Body, FIFA, has confirmed November 21 to December 18 as dates for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in oil-rich Qatar.

The tournament’s opening game will be at the 60,000 capacity Al Bayt stadium, with its distinctive ‘tent’ style cover.Football fans will watch an unprecedented four matches a day on television, spread out over 11 hours in the group stage according to the release schedule.With the relatively short travel distances for the venues in and around Doha, it could be possible for fans who travel to the 32-team tournament to attend multiple games each day.Also Read: Kamaru Usman gets presidential commendation for retaining UFC titleThe early games will kick-off at 10:00 hours GMT with the fourth match of the day starting at 1900 GMT and finishing just before midnight.The final game will be held at the 80,000 Lusail stadia.
