FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup

The 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is getting more interesting as Brazil, Spain, the United States of America, and hosts Colombia have all advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Spain, the reigning champions, came from behind to defeat Canada in their Round of 16 match. They will face the winner of the Nigeria versus Japan match.

Nigeria’s Falconets, two-time runners-up, are aiming to go all the way this time. However, they face a daunting task against 2018 champions Japan, who have won all three group matches, including a 7-0 victory over New Zealand.

Nine-time South American champions, Brazil needed extra time to defeat Cameroon 3-1, while three-time champions, the United States of America beat Mexico 3-2.

Brazil will face the winner of the North Korea versus Austria encounter, while the United States awaits a possible match up against Germany in what could be regarded as the battle for supremacy.

Germany face Argentina in the round of 16

Colombia’s Linda Cacicedo scored the only goal in their 1-0 win over Korea Republic. Colombia awaits the winner of the France versus Netherlands encounter

In the quarter-finals pairing, Spain will play the Winner of Nigeria versus Japan match while Colombia face the winner of France versus Netherland encounter. Brazil will take on the winner of People’s Republic of Korea and Austria as USA confronts the winner of Germany versus Argentina.
