Stakeholders in the state have called on the Nigerian government to increase funding for agencies charged with the responsibility to fight drug abuse.
This is coming as a result of the rising increase in drug abuse among youths in the country.
The stakeholders made the call during a sensitisation campaign to northern students on the consequences of drug abuse on youths.

The stakeholders commended the efforts of the federal government, and called for more concerted efforts to curtail the growing trend.
