The people of the omumauzor community in ukwa west Local government area of Abia State South East Nigeria, have received palliative from the Niger Delta development commission (NDDC) to help cushion the effects of hunger and economic hardships facing most ruler communities within the Niger Delta region.
Dring the handover of the palliative in Asa in ukwa west Local government area of the state, the people of Omumauzor community commended the NDDC for the gesture.
The managing director of NDDC Samuel Ogbuku, says the palliatives are to help cushion the effects of hunger and economic hardships facing most ruler communities within the Niger Delta region.
Ogbuku says the initiative was part of the commission’s mandate to ensure the pains of the people are alleviated.

The elated people of omumauzor community Asa, in Ukwa west Local government area of Abia State commended the NDDC for the intervention.
Items donated by the NDDC include bags of rice, tubers of yam, beans, noodles and other essentials.
