Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun has blamed the current inflation in the country on printing of trillions of naira during the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
The minister said this during an interface with the Senate Committee on Finance on Wednesday, pointing out that government will audit the N22.7 trillion printed by the last administration, adding that the money printed by the Central Bank of Nigeria through Ways and Means overdraft for the federal government from 2015 to 2023 led Nigeria into hyper-inflation.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance Senator Sani Musa said such interactive sessions will be a regular exercise to allow government fashion out ways of tackling the current economic crisis.
