Residents of Ifiekporo community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria have been thrown into confusion and panic as Matrix Energy Tank Farm situated in their community is gutted by fire.
Multiple sources hinted that the incident may have resulted from loading activities at the tank farm.
The magnitude of the explosion which occurred at about 9pm on Friday night could be felt, as most residents complain of occasional earth shaking sound around their buildings.
As at the time of this report, efforts were still ongoing to contain the raging flames. Meanwhile, there has been no report of casualties.
