Nigeria’s Under Seventeen Women’s football team, the Flamingos have arrived in Santo Domingo the capital of Dominican Republic,
The team, consisting of 21 players, technical crew members and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), arrived in Santo Domingo on Thursday
The Flamingos are among the 24 countries that will take part in the 2024 FIFA Under Seventeen Women’s World Cup in Dominican Republic.
They are in Santo Domingo for a 2-week training tour where they will engaged in series of warm up games before the starting of the World Cup.
On arrival at the capital., the Nigerian team moved to their training camp and start their preparation this Friday morning.
Flamingos will tackle Ecuador, New Zealand and Dominican Republic in group A.of the tournament
They will take on New Zealand in their opening fixture on Wednesday, October 16.
The Dominican Republic will host the competition from October 16 to November 3.
