He said the Gombe State Government returned some Adamawa indigenes who were on transit through the State, after most of them were certified free of the virus and having completed their days in quarantine.

The State also received a report from the Gombe State Government that two people among the returnees whose samples were collected and confirmed positive, had escaped before their results were received.

According to the Governor, one of the patients has been tracked down and now at the State treatment facility while the whereabouts of the other Covid-19 patient is still unknown and the Government is using all available means to get him.
