The community of Makera in the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State has been struck by flood that left many residents in difficult situation; losing their shelter and property, and struggling to protect their families.
The unfortunate incident destroyed several homes and property, as well as caused injuries to some of the residents.
No human lives were lost though, many animals perished in the disaster.

Members of the community say they have not experienced such a tragedy before.
They are appealing to the Kebbi State Government to come to their aid to recover from the great loss of homes and property.
