The Niger Delta caucus in the House of Representatives has called for the immediate resignation of the minister of humanitarian affairs, Sadiya Farouq over what they described as Incompetence.

The lawmakers also alleged that the humanitarian minister failed to visit the affected region to get first-hand information but stayed back in Abuja to paint a false picture.

The Group, Reacting to a statement made by the Minister on the 3rd of November where she allegedly said Bayelsa state was not amongst the 10 worst states hit by flood, was only to subjugate the region as schools, higher institutions and several government agencies have had to shut down due to the devastating situation.
