At least one person has again been killed in the flood that ravaged the Lugbe community of the Federal Capital city, Abuja.
Eye witnesses who are also among those rendered homeless by the flood say the dead body has been recovered by authorities of the FCT emergency management agency.
It is another dark day for the residents of Trademore estate located in the Lugbe area of the nation’s capital. The residents woke up Friday morning to meet a downpour that lasted for hours.
The people did not only lose their homes and other valuables but one of their neighbours was also killed by the flood.
With fears on their faces, the people called on the FCT Minister, Muhammad Bello to work on the poor drainage system in the area that has become a nightmare to the people.
The tragic disaster is coming a few weeks after a flood killed 4 persons including a mother and her 3 children in giri Kpasere in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Territory.
