Hundreds of motorists and commuters have been left stranded in an early Monday morning downpour, on the Keffi – Abuja highway, as the area was flooded.
AIT News gathered that the drainage system by the roadside is not wide enough to contain the water, thereby causing it to flood the highway.

As at the time of filing this report, several persons could be seen abandoning their vehicles and crossing the water, as they couldn’t wait for the water to subside.
Others who couldn’t leave their vehicles were waiting for the road to be free, to continue their journey.
From observations and firsthand witnesses, both sides of the road have been covered, leaving the highway submerged, as passers-by and residents watch with amazement.
