The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, HYPPADEC has identified about three thousand homes in twenty eight communities affected by flood in Kogi State.
This revelation was made by the Commission while presenting the report of the just concluded Needs Assessment of flood prone communities by the commission to stakeholders of affected communities in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission in September trained and sent out enumerators to political wards of flood prone communities in Kogi State to ascertain the level of flood devastation and what their needs were for possible intervention.
The Exercise which is in partnership with an international donor agency, New Approach, presented its outcome to critical stakeholders

In collaboration with New Approach and other donor partners, HYPPADEC is set to deliver about eighty boreholes, motorcycles, medical facilities, training of youths in critical skills and vocational trade areas and shelters will be delivered to displaced persons in the state.
