Nigeria’s Flying Eagles for this year’s West Africa Football Union, WAFU, B U-20 tournament in the Benin Republic were on Friday left stranded at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport, Abuja following a strike by the airline.
The Ladan Bosso side were expected to fly to Lagos this morning where they will connect to Cotonou, capital of Benin Republic.
They will now fly out to Cotonou on Saturday in a chartered flight.

The new arrangement comes barely 24 hours to their opening match against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday in Port Novo.
The seven times champions of the Africa U-20 nations cup will battle Ghana and cote d ‘Ivoire for the sole ticket in the WAFU B zone.
