The information contained in a statement released on Tuesday by his son, Cheta Chinwoke Mbadinuju says ODERA as he was fondly called, died peacefully at the age of 78 years on Tuesday morning at the National Hospital Abuja after an illness.
The former Governor’s family prays for God’s grace and mercy upon him and those left behind to mourn him.

The Statement added that the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course by the family.
