Former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Yomi Awoniyi has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the Nov. 11 Governorship election in the state.
Awoniyi who served under Idris Wada Administration was presented by the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello to the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.
He resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) last week in preparation for joining the ruling party.

Awoniyi expressed his admiration for Governor Yahaya Bello’s leadership, and commitment to inclusivity, unity, and governance.
