President Bola Tinubu’s state visit to Qatar commences on Friday, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar says the bilateral ties being deepened will, among other things, pave the way for global clean energy transition.
Ngeria’s top diplomat said this in a lecture he delivered at the Doha Diplomatic Institute a day before the state visit got underway.

Tuggar told his audience that with Qatar and Nigeria blessed with hydrocarbon deposits, which in his view places both at the centre of the new energy equation, both need to make a case for gas as a cleaner alternative and transition fuel fit for human use.

The Minister spoke extensively about Nigeria’s Liquified Natural Gas projects, which he said have the potential through two major gas pipeline projects, to deliver gas to Europe.
Tuggar said a stronger Nigeria-Qatar political and economic partnership can be the foundation for a new diplomatic order.
