As part of it’s effort to Address Hunger, boost Agriculture and enhance food security across the country, the federal government under president Bola Tinubu’s Administration has launched the distribution of free Fertilizers to small scale farmers in the North East Geo-political zone of the country.
The Official Flag off ceremony was performed by the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture Abiodun Yinusa held in Bauchi state North East Nigeria.
Delivering his speech the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture Abiodun Yinusa, represented By Buhari Bulkachuwa said, the gesture is geared towards addressing hunger and ensure food security for sustainable agricultural development.
Some speakers at the occasion said the gesture is timely considering the current economic hardship faced by the people, particularly farmers.
According to the Convener, about ten trucks of Fertilizers have been allocated to the office of SA to the President on Agriculture and hopes that the gesture would go a long way in achieving the desired objectives.
