The former Edo State Commissioner for arts, culture, tourism, and Diaspora Affairs, Osaze Osemwingie-Ero, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to put machinery in place to ensure the release of over three hundred Nigerians illegally detained in Italy because of mafia-related crimes they did not commit.
Osemwingie who was also imprisoned for the past one year in Italy for mafia-related crimes disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists in Benin city on arrival to his home state since his arrest in the foreign land.
