Former Inspector General of Police, Gambo Jimeta is dead.
A family source who does not want his name disclosed said Jimeta died at the National Hospital in Abuja on Thursday after a protracted illness.
Gambo Jimeta held the traditional title of Dan Lawan Adamawa.
He died at the age of 85.
