He commended Governor Ayade for changing the political history of the State by giving opportunities to the younger generation deviod of cabal arrangement of taking the state’s commonwealth to advance few personal interests.

Usani said with the latest defection of people who were pillars of the opposition PDP in Yakurr Local Government Area to APC, there is a New Era in the politics of Cross River Central Senatorial District. According to him, “There are no old or new APC members, there will be Justice and equity which form the basic part of internal party democracy that the party stand for”.

On their part, the Commissioner and Council Chairman said all the PDP structures in Yakurr Local Government have moved with them into the ruling APC.

Former presidential aide, Okoi Obono Obla in his speech said APC has taken over Yakurr nation as doors are still wide open for new members to join the family.

“Our doors are open to all members of PDP as many of them have been showing interest and we are prepared to register them from the PDP to the APC. We are happy to accept you into the progressives,” Obla said.
