The death of a former commissioner, National Population Commisssion, NPC, Zakari Umaru Kigbu has been announced early hours of May 29, 2022.
Kigbu, was killed by unknown gunmen last night while 2 of his children were kidnapped during the incident at his residence in Obi, Lafia LGA, Nasarawa state
Late Kigbu served as Labaran Maku’s agent In the just concluded Nasarawa PDP primaries before Maku’s eventual withdrawal from the governorship race.

The police public relations officer Ranham Nansel confirmed this to AIT via telephone call, adding that investigations is ongoing to apprehend those behind the attack
