The final farewell to one of Nigeria’s most respected statesmen, former Senate President Joseph Wayas, has been fixed for November 30, 2024, nearly three years after his death.
The announcement from the Central Planning Committee read by the Secretary of the Committe, Dorn- Claimz Enamhe,
confirmed that Wayas will finally be laid to rest at his hometown Cross River State, following dedicated efforts to repatriate his remains from the United Kingdom.
Enamhe added that additional details about the Service of Songs, Commendation Service and Final Burial Rites will be announced next week.
