ZAMFARA

At least four people have been killed including children while four others were left with various degrees of injuries as suspected terrorists launched an attack at Gidan Dawa village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest, Nigeria.

Locals said, the terrorists stormed the village at about 5 P.M. Nigerian time and started firing sporadic gunshots killing four people while one person died of a heart attack as a result of the sound of gunshots.

The terrorists said to have been armed with sophisticated weapons and in large numbers invaded Gidan Dawa village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara to carry out their nefarious activities.

The four others who sustained gunshot wounds were rushed to Tsafe General Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspected terrorists invaded the troubled village and killed people including children between the ages of four and seven but did not abduct anyone into the bush.

Tsafe- Gusau and Tsafe- Funtua highways have been a hot bed of terrorist activities, in which they abduct for ransom and kill travellers, and people in the communities around.

AIT. Live contacted the Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations officer, Assistant Superintendent Yazid Abubakar via telephone and he said he was not aware of the incident but would inquire and revert.
