The President of National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, John Adaji says Labour market in Africa is suffering from over fragmentation of trade unions, thereby weaking Labour movement in achieving simple target.

John Adaji who spoke exclusively with ait.live on the perceived misunderstanding brewing between those tagged Fashion Designers and The ‘so-called’ local tailors.

Adaji says both Tailors and whoever is called fashion designer are targeted at producing a cover for human beings and fight over superiority is unnecessary

The National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria is one of the biggest private sector unions in Nigeria affiliated to the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

The fundamental objectives of the union are to organize, protect, defend and promote the right privilege and interest of workers in cotton field, cotton processing factories, textile industries, fashion design outlets and tailors
