A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, has taken a swipe at the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka for daring to call or the National Assembly to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over Nigeria’s seeming security challenges.

The former APC Image maker however, threatened to expose Father Mbaka to the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope if he continues to cause disaffection for the government.

Mbaka had called on the National Assembly to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari if he fails to resign over increased insecurity in the country.

Mbaka made the call during a recent church service where he lamented the way the country was being governed.

Reacting to Mbaka’s statement on Friday in Abuja, Nabena said it is unfortunate that a man of God “who is supposed to deploy all known spiritual means of averting crisis, is the one fanning the embers of crisis and threatening a democratically elected government for his own personal benefit while pretending to be speaking for the people.

According to Nabena, one wonders who Father Mbaka is emulating because the Lord Jesus Christ did not threaten to bring down the government during his own time.

He said In fact Jesus Christ obeyed and honoured constituted authority and that was why he paid his taxes.

He called on Father Mbaka to concentrate on his spiritual calling and desist from speaking like politicians, advising that should leave politicking for politicians.

Nabena said calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to either resign or be impeached because of the current challenges is ungodly.

Nabena also called on other clerics to emulate the likes of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and Pastor WF Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Bible Ministry and many other true men of God who will rather fast and pray to avert crisis in the country instead of threatening the government of the day.
