FRSC Partners NUJ To Fight Reckless Driving In Bauchi

As part of efforts to address Reckless Driving and violation of traffic rules and regulations to reduce rates of accidents in the state, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC Bauchi State Command has solicited the support of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists in enlightening the general public on the matter.

Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Bauchi State Istifanus Ibrahim made the appeal when he paid a familiarization visit to Bauchi state Council of the Nigerian Union Of Journalists NUJ Bauchi State North East Nigeria

The Sector Commander alongside some principal officers of the command were in Bauchi State Council of the Nigerian Union Of Journalists NUJ to familiarize and interact with the members of the pen profession in the areas of collaboration to help in sensitizing the people towards reducing the rates of accidents on the roads particularly as festive seasons approach

As ember month campaign begins, the Sector Commander unveiled some of the Command’s plans to ensure minimal casualties during the period.

The Chairman Bauchi Council of the Nigerian Union Of Journalists Umar Saidu Commended the Roads safety Corps for its Effort in reducing accidents in Bauchi state, urging them to be more vigilant on those illegally using Press Tag in their Vehicles.

While calling on them to deploy more personnel in some strategic locations for traffic control management, Umar Saidu assures that the NUJ will Support and cooperate with the corps in addressing the menace.
