The Federal Road Safety Corps says it has restricted 858 articulated vehicles from operating during peak hours along the Kugbo corridor since the launch of Operation Safe Kugbo on March 18, 2026.
The Corps, in a statement by spokesperson Osondu Ohaeri, noted that the exercise has recorded zero road crashes involving articulated vehicles on the outbound corridor.
FRSC attributed the success to strategic enforcement backed by traffic regulations, adding that monitoring will be intensified as motorists and truck operators are urged to comply with the directive.
