Politicians ,Security operatives and other highly placed individuals in Cross River State have been put on notice as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),said it would soon commence the clampdown on unregistered vehicles and those driving without driver’s License.
The State Sector Commander ,Maikano Abdullahi Hassan made this known to Journalists at the Ernest Etim Bassey Press Centre in Calabar during a visit to the new state working committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).


Maikani said after impounding such vehicles, it will not be released until evidence of vehichle registration and driver licence are provided to the commission.
According to Maikano, the exercise which was a directive from the commission’s headquarters, also included tricycles and Motorcycles operating as courier services in Cross River State.

On his part,, the State Chairman of the NUJ, comrade Gill Nsa assured the FRSC of a good working relationship, noting that both FRSC amd NUJ are contributing to nation building.
