Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has charged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South zone to remain united and work with a common purpose to strengthen the party’s chances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the South-South Zonal Congress in Asaba, Delta State, the governor said unity among party leaders would be critical in delivering electoral success in the region.

The congress, which attracted key stakeholders of the APC in the zone, witnessed the re-election of zonal leaders through consensus, with the officials immediately inaugurated.
Dignitaries at the event included Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Governors Umo Eno, Bassey Otu, Sheriff Oborevwori, and Monday Okpebholo, alongside other party leaders.
Members of the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly from the South-South zone were also in attendance.
