Edo State Government has postponed indefinitely the resumption of all public and private schools for first term of the 2024-2025 academic session.
The government’s directive which is contained in a statement dated September 6 and made available to the public by the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Education, Ojo Akin-Longe on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, Joan Oviawe says resumption, which was supposed to begin on Monday, September 9, has been postponed till further notice due to tension arising from the recent increase in fuel prices and the challenges faced by parents and guardians.

The statement also urges Parents, Guardians and Caregivers to monitor the activities of their children and wards closely while they at home.
