In Ekiti State, there was panic buying of petrol with long queues of vehicles and Jerrycans at some filling stations that were selling the products on Friday, a situation many buyers said was to beat the purported increased pump price heard on the news
But many other filling stations selling petrol few days ago, suddenly shut their gates against buyers.

All filling stations selling petrol have not adjusted to any new pump price of petrol despite the news of a new pricing template released by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, but was later reversed.
Prices displayed at filling stations in Ado-Ekiti ranges between 165 naira 182 naira per litre, as at Friday Evening.
