Long queues could return in parts of Northern Nigeria if nine petroleum depots make good their threat to shutdown their operations in protest for three days as the Independent Petroleum Marketers (IPMAN) embarked on warning strike to press home its demand claims of roughly N400 billion from the Federal government.
The Northern arm of the Independent Petroleum Marketers(IPMAN) had on Monday said begun the warning strike due to the failure of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Agency(NMDRA) to settle their bridging claims put roughly at N400 billion.
IPMAN said it will however not hesitate to escalate the warning strike; making it full blown to cripple the economy if nothing is done to meet their demand.
At the moment, situation still seems normal in Gombe metropolis with the impact of the warning strike yet to be visible.
