Organised Labour in Nigeria is threatening to embark on mass protests and strike over what it describes as half truth by the Nigerian National Petroleum company limited, on the cause of the current persistent and embarrasing fuel scarcity.

President of the trade union congress of Nigeria, Quadri Olaleye, who revealed this at a briefing in Abuja on repositioning Labour with one voice ahead of the 2023 General election, describes President Buhari’s economic policies as anti-people and pro-poverty inclined.

Also, in a statement, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba says time is running out on government to fix the disgraceful fuel scarcity across the states of the Federation.

On the ongoing Strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Wabba says government has demonstrated yet again her character of reneging on agreements reached with unions and calls for immediate action to end the action.

Organised Labour has equally identified Abia, Cross River, Zamfara and Taraba States As states not yet implementing the N30,000 National minimum wage, as it calls on governors to act fast to avoid rounds of industrial action by the workers.
