The Nigerian government has been advised to fast track the deepening of the adoption of the compressed natural gas policy as a means of ensuring energy security in Nigeria.
President, petroleum and natural gas senior staff association of Nigeria, Festus osifo, who stated this in Lagos while giving details of the communique issued at the end of the 2024 energy and labour summit also called for the development of structures to accomplish the contents of the Nigeria Gas master plan.

The PENGASSAN President noted that the continued fall in crude oil production from 2.2million barrels in 2019 till date remains a major concern for the country’s national economy.
The Association further called for the adoption of technology using artificial intelligence structures in tackling the menace of crude oil theft in Nigeria.
