The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has acknowledged the fuel supply shortage in parts of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), attributing it to distribution challenges.
In a statement released on Sunday,NNPC Ltd. apologized for the inconvenience caused and assured motorists that it is working tirelessly with relevant stakeholders to restore normal fuel supply.
The company also urged motorists to avoid panic buying, which it says can exacerbate the situation, and expressed confidence that the issues will be resolved soon.
NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, confirmed that the company is working round the clock to address the distribution challenges and ensure a steady supply of fuel to affected areas.
The Company urged Motorists in Lagos and the FCT to remain calm and patient as it works to resolve the issue and restore normalcy to the fuel supply chain.
